On the TV renovation show "the block", you may have recently seen the use of aluminium venetians. Now although there hasn’t been a huge surge yet there have definitely been some enquiries. EEK. Scrunchies, flared pants, shoulder pads in blazers, you name it it’s all coming back! Just like fashion, interior design is influenced with come backs in styling too. Cue the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s with a modern twist Retro look. Fashion really does cycle around and around.
Most people think of venetians as aluminium venetians, you know the ones from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. Often used in workplaces and in retro interiors. Although they play a small role in the window furnishings interior space, I personally hope the aluminium venetian trend is short lived. And used only for those period homes or retro interiors that call for them.
